Lewis the Lion discovers a Brazilian television show

Perhaps on a Saturday night in the UK, two of the most popular television shows are Strictly Come Dancing and the X-Factor? Well, in Brazil the most popular family Sunday night show is called “Domingão do Faustão” – “Sunday with Faustão.”
On this show the presenter, Faustão, introduces a section where adult contestants have to compete against children to see who is the best. Roughly translated, this part of the programme is called, “Facing the Prodigy” or in Portuguese, “De Cara com a Fera.”

The top performing children are selected from all over Brazil to take part in this game-show and it’s often a close-run competition which is why viewing figures are so high. If the adults win against all of the children, they get a chance to win a big money prize but that doesn’t normally happen because everybody knows that children are better than adults, right?!

The particular episode that Lewis the Lion watched on the television from his hostel included children who were brilliant at Ten Pin Bowling, Gymnastics and Archery.

By chance, Lewis was lucky enough to meet one of the producers of this show, Renata Moreno and here is his photo with her:
