Lewis recycles in New Zealand

Recycling is encouraged in New Zealand

Lewis the Lion had to fly from Christchurch back to Auckland before his next flight to Australia. He wasn’t feeling particularly environmentally friendly when he thought of his carbon-footprint with all this travel so did what he could, when he could. He was therefore delighted to see at the airport that there was somewhere for you to recycle your waste. (See the photo above).

In fact he noticed that during his journey in New Zealand, he had been encouraged to look after the environment, save water and recycle. He thought that that was just wonderful. New Zealand was a truly beautiful country and he thought that it was only right and proper that we do our bit to make sure that it stays that way for future generations.

What do you do on a day to day basis to try to look after our planet?
