Just when Lewis thought that he had everything almost sewn up for his adventure, he received a telephone call from the lovely travel agent, Caroline. Caroline had some rather good news for him on the condition that he was prepared to be flexible. She suggested that if Lewis was prepared to change some of the flights on his journey, the he could save £1000 on the cost of his ticket! It didn’t take him long to decide to say “yes” and jump at the chance.
Lewis’ round-the-world ticket is flexible. That means that if he discovers en route that he would either like to leave a place sooner or stay there for longer, then he can change the date of his ticket.
